Appointment of Members to Planning and Zoning Commission Until December 31, 2026

BRIEF OVERVIEW
Four vacancies exist on the Planning and Zoning Commission due to upcoming expired terms and/or resignations. Jerry Campbell resigned from the Planning and Zoning Commission on August 27, 2022, and John Thomas Carroll resigned from the Planning and Zoning Commission on October 28, 2022.
A total of eight (8) applications were received for the Planning and Zoning Commission:

3. Charles Greenwell
4. Christopher Licata III
5. Gregory Arflack
6. Mike Fulford
7. Gabriel Bussell
8. Nicholas Holmes
Members to the Planning and Zoning Commission are appointed under Board Policy 06-01 which prescribes individuals shall be appointed by Commission District, qualification, and expertise. Regular members are selected by each individual County Commissioner.
The applications received are provided as attachments to the agenda item. Alternate members shall be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners as a whole per Policy 06-01.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
No financial impact, a matter of policy.

The Board has the authority to act on this request accordance with Chapter 125 and Board Policy 06-01.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board review the applications and appoint members to the Planning and Zoning Commission, all effective until December 31, 2026.
1. The recommendation for the appointment of District 2, will be made by Commissioner Hawkins in accordance with Policy 06-01.
2. The recommendation for the appointment of District 4, will be made by Commissioner Campbell in accordance with Policy 06-01.
3. The recommendation for the appointment of Alternate 1, will be made by the Board as a whole per Policy 06-01.
4. The recommendation for the appointment of Alternate 2, will be made by the Board as a whole per Policy 06-01.
