BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Procurement Department issued Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 23-T00453/TC on October 18,2023, at the request of the Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services Department, to obtain bids for the purchase of Plumbing Repairs As-Needed for use by the Facilities Department and other requesting Departments.

On January 9, 2024, the Board approved the award of Contract with Charlie's Plumbing, Inc., Contract No. 23-T00453/TC, in the total amount of $61,200.00 with an estimated annual spend amount of $20,400.00 per fiscal year.

The Facilities Department and Fire and Emergency Services Department are currently using this contract for multiple plumbing repairs. Purchase orders currently total $48,318.83. This contract can be used by multiple departments as needed. Currently, Fire and Emergency Services Department and the Facilities Department have both requested an increase in the estimated annual spend for this contract.

This increase request would bring the previously awarded estimated annual amount from $20,400.00 to $115,400.00 for the remaining term of the contract including renewal periods.

The contract is in the first year of a three (3) year term, and the contract provides for two (2) additional one-year periods. The contract's current expiration date is January 8, 2027.

The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds of $95,000.00 will be from utilized between multiple board departments. Purchases will only be made against the available department budget.

LEGAL NOTE
The Board has the authority to act on this item pursuant to Part II, Chapter 2, Article V of the Hernando County Code of Ordinances.
