BRIEF OVERVIEW
On March 11, 2025, Hernando County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services requested approval to piggyback Miami-Dade awarded contracts. Hernando County Board approved this request on April 8th, 2025.
Hernando County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services submitted a request to the Procurement Department to piggyback Miami-Dade for Joint Purchase and Entity Revenue Sharing Contract No. EVN0000251; Hernando County File No. 25-P0236A with Fire-Dex GW, LLC d/b/a Gear Wash for Cleaning and Repair of Bunker Gear with a contract expiration date of July 31, 2028.
The estimated annual spend is $70,000.00 and a total contract Estimated amount of $280,000.00.
The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding in the amount of $70,000.00 is available in the following account for Fiscal Year 2025 and will be budgeted annually for future fiscal years:
Fund: 1661 - HC Fire Rescue -Fire, Department: 02261 - HC Fire Rescue - Fire, Account: 5305207 - Safety Gear and Supplies.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve the utilization of Miami-Dade for Joint Purchase and Entity Revenue Sharing Contract No. EVN0000251; Hernando County File No. 25-P0236A with Fire-Dex GW, LLC d/b/a Gear Wash for cleaning and repair of bunker gear in the estimated annual spend of $70,000.00 and authorize the CPO's signature on the attached Piggyback agreement.
