BRIEF OVERVIEW
A State of Local Emergency was extended for a period of seven (7) days for Hernando County, effective October 7, 2023, through October 14, 2023, with Proclamation No. 2023-07. Proclamation No. 2023-07 was signed by the Board Chairman in conjunction with the Executive Policy Group on October 6, 2023. Attached is a copy of Proclamation No. 2023-07.

The Board has authority to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 252, Florida Statutes, Hernando County Code XII, § 21-201 through 21-210, Executive Order No. 23-171, and Executive Order 23-172.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve the actions taken by Emergency Management during the State of Emergency declared for Hurricane Idalia and ratify the Chairman’s signatures on Proclamation Number 2023-07.
