BRIEF OVERVIEW
Hernando County Emergency Management and Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services applied for the Hurricane Loss Mitigation Grant through the Florida Department of Emergency Management for the retrofitting of hurricane protection for Fire Station No. 1 located on Parker Avenue in Spring Hill. This retrofit will allow for hurricane impact windows, hurricane impact garage bay doors and a metal roof. The award of the grant is for $194,000.00 with no matching funds. This modification updated Attachment A to include Financial Consequences that was originally omitted in the contract.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The grant is reimbursable at 100% reimbursement. Funding of $194,000.00 is available in Expense Account No. 1691-32207-56069201 and Revenue Account No. 1691-32207-3342066. A budget resolution is attached to recognize the funds.

The Board has the authority to act on this item pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached Modification to Subgrant Agreement Between Emergency Management and Fire Rescue and Emergency Services and the attached associated budget resolution.
