BRIEF OVERVIEW
The County is vastly evolving which leads to an increase of customer service call volume throughout the organization. The Building Department and Planning and Zoning Department is requesting a Customer Care Specialist and Planning and Zoning Technician. To sustain efficiencies for the substantial customer service demands, these departments are requesting use of reserves to add two full-time positions now for the remainder of the current fiscal year head of FY24. The two position descriptions and budget amendments are included with this request.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Upon approval of the Board, the cost for FY23 in General Fund (0011) is $10,460 and Building Fund (4611) is $8,762.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board authorize the hiring of a Customer Care Specialist and Planning and Zoning Technician within Development Services in the Building Department and Planning and Zoning Department and approve the associated budget amendments.
