BRIEF OVERVIEW
At the request of the Hernando County Department of Public Works, the Procurement Department issued Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 24-C00673/JG on February 28, 2024, to obtain bids to retrofit existing urban Drainage Retention Area's (DRA's) for Best Management Practices (BMP), located on Geranium Avenue (Project No. 109550) and Northcliffe Boulevard (Project No. 109570).

Procurement Department staff placed the legal advertisement in the Tampa Bay Times on March 1, 2024, and the OpenGov website on February 28, 2024. The bid was sent to three thousand forty-four (3,044) matching vendor/contractors from the website. The bid document was downloaded by forty-one (41) vendor/contractors and two (2) bid submissions were received.

Carr & Collier, Inc. $1,082,507.00

Bids were reviewed and evaluated by the Procurement Department to determine if they were responsive and responsible. The bids were then reviewed and evaluated by the Hernando County Public Works Department staff for award recommendation based on price, conformance with specifications and the Bidder's ability to perform the contract in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications required.

A Notice of Intent to Award the contract to Midsouth, Inc., dated May 23, 2024, was posted to the OpenGov website. No challenges to the Notice of Intent to Award were received.

The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
