BRIEF OVERVIEW

On November 7, 2023, the Board approved Contract 24-PG0125/EK, to Piggyback Forward Pinellas’ agreement for Planning Services with nine firms (Agenda Item No. 13029).  As part of that item’s approval, all Task Orders over Advertised Bidding Requirement (ABR) need to be brought back to the Board for approval.

 

Hernando County Fleet Department requested Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., to prepare the attached Scope of Work and Fee Rate Sheets for the completion of a County EV Fleet Needs Assessment Report.

 

The Hernando County Fleet Department is interested in transitioning portions of its fleet to electric vehicles (EVs) to create a more efficient, cost-effective, and modern fleet.

 

The Fleet Department has reviewed the quote for price, conformance to specifications and the Bidder’s ability to perform the contract in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications required, and is recommending the award to Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Funding in the amount of $68,964.00 is available in the following:

Fund: B502 - Vehicle Maintenance, Department: 230 - Vehicle Maintenance, Account: 533100 - Professional Svcs

 

Part of CIP 112196 - Fleet Maintenance Building, included in the FY 26 CIP.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Board approve the task order for Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., in the amount of $68,964.00 for the Hernando County EV Fleet Needs Assessment Report.  It is further recommended the Board authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders as they become necessary and required up to budgeted amounts.
