First Public Hearing on Ordinance Revising Residential Lot Landscaping Inspection Requirements

BRIEF OVERVIEW
On December 2, 2025, the Development Services Director presented draft revisions to multiple sections of Appendix A (Zoning) of the Hernando County Land Regulations to the Board. One of the items discussed was clarification on residential lot landscaping inspections.
The proposed ordinance clarifies the timing for landscaping inspections on vacant properties selected for development.
If approved, the Ordinance will be scheduled for adoption at a second public hearing on April 7, 2026.
