BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) solicited applications for its FY 24-25 Hurricane Loss Mitigation Program (HLMP) Grant. Grant funds are 100% reimbursable and can be used to assist with providing further protection from tropical cyclones. Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services seeks these funds to benefit Station 12 with wind retrofit of the station’s roof, garage bay doors, windows, and exterior doors.
Due to application time constraints, and in accordance with Hernando County Grant Policy 15-01, the County Administrator approved the submittal of this application in order to meet the deadline of July 17, 2024.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
HLMP is 100% reimbursable up to $194,000.00. If awarded, a budget resolution will be submitted

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board ratify the submittal of the FY 24-25 HLMP application to the Florida Division of Emergency Management.
