BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Procurement Department issued Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 23-CG0039/JG on June 28, 2023, at the request of the Hernando County Department of Public Works to obtain bids for Construction services for the West Landover Boulevard Sidewalk Local Agency Program (LAP) (Northcliffe Boulevard to Elgin Boulevard) Project.
The Procurement Department placed the legal advertisement in the Hernando Sun on June 30, 2023, the Tampa Bay Times on June 28, 2023, and the OpenGov website on June 28, 2023. The bid was sent to two-thousand six-hundred ninety-one (2,691) matching vendors/contractors from the website. The bid document was downloaded by fifty-one (51) vendor/contractors and five (5) bid submissions were received.

Bids were reviewed and evaluated by the Procurement Department to determine if they were responsive and responsible. The bids were then reviewed and evaluated by the Hernando County Department of Public Works and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for award recommendation based on price, conformance with specifications and the Bidder's ability to perform the contract in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications required.
A Notice of Intent to Award the contract to DB Civil Construction, LLC dated October 23, 2023, was posted to the OpenGov website, and posted to the Hernando County Administration electronic public bulletin board.
