Ratification of Emergency Purchase Order to Amen Air, Inc., for Air Conditioning Unit Replacement Project at Utilities Department (Amount: $38,000.00)

BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Utilities Department requested an emergency purchase order on August 21,2023, due to AC Units being beyond repair and needing to be replaced. The AC Units are critical in keeping the variable speed drives from overheating which would cause damage to VFD (Variable Frequency Drive). This required immediate replacement as it could be a safety issue and cause substantial loss to Hernando County.
The Procurement Department issued Purchase Order No. 23001037 in the amount of $38,000.00 on August 21, 2023, to Amen Air, Inc., to replace the AC units. The Procurement Department is bringing the purchase order to the Board for ratification.
The replacement was completed at the final cost of $38,000.00. No change orders were needed as the estimated amount was the actual purchase order amount for the replacements. This will pay and close the emergency purchase order upon Board approval.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding in the amount of $38,000.00 is available in Account No. 07201-5304617, Renewal and Replacement Repair/Maint-Sewer Plants.

It is recommended that the Board ratify Purchase Order No. 23001037 in the amount of $38,000.00 to Amen Air, Inc., for replacement of Air Conditioning Unit at Utilities Department.
