BRIEF OVERVIEW

On September 26, 2023, the Board approved Contract No. 23-T00040/AP for Pre-Qualification of Vendors for Construction Projects Under $500,000.00, Doc Id No. 12623. 

 

On March 26, 2024, the Board approved award of Quote No. 3 for Contract No. 23-T00040/AP, Quote 3, Doc Id., No. 13750, for Burger King Lift Station Rehab to Deeb Construction and Development Co., in the amount of $448,654.05. 

 

The Final Contract amount is $448,954.05 (Purchase Order No. 24000785). 

 

The work has been completed and Deeb Construction and Development Co., has submitted its Final Pay Application No. One (1) in the amount of $448,954.05.  All releases properly include Hernando County.  Deeb Construction and Development Co. has signed a release of lien.  All notices of lien or claims of lien have been released on the project.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Funding in the amount of $448,954.05 is available in the following:

 

Fund:  4121 - HCUD RENEWAL AND REPLCMNT, Department:  07201 - RENEWAL AND REPLACEMENT, Account:  5626323 - IMPROV WWTP/Lift Station

There was no retainage for this project.  Payment is being requested in full at project completion.

 

LEGAL NOTE

The Board has the authority to act on this item pursuant to Part II, Chapter 2, Article V of the Hernando County Code of Ordinances.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Board approve Final Pay Request No. One (1) in the amount of $448,954.05 to Deeb Construction and Development Co. to close out Contract No. 23-T00040-Q3.

 

The final Contract amount is $448,954.05.  There was no amount change from BOCC award.
