BRIEF OVERVIEW
On October 10, 2023, the BOCC approved award of Contract No. 23-ITB00306/TC to Seggie Custom Builders, LLC for the Solid Waste Administration Facility Project for $2,267,905.49.

The purchase order was originally issued for $2,267,905.49. Change order No. 3 in the amount of $286,722.72, would increase the purchase order to $2,554,628.21.

Change Order No. 1 was a no-cost time extension to add 90 days to the purchase order and was approved by the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) on March 3, 2025

Change Order No. 2 was a no-cost time extension to add 190 days to the purchase order and was approved by the CPO on May 27, 2025.

Hernando County Solid Waste Department has requested an increase for Purchase Order No. 24000313 for a Fire Water Storage Tank to meet the requirement to receive Certificate of Occupancy. During permitting, the need for additional water supply (ground storage tank) per the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) was identified.

A design was approved and a request for a change order was directed to the contractor. The contractor's proposal has been reviewed by the design team consultants and staff and deemed appropriate for the scope of work and time to complete to provide an adequate amount of water available for Fire Rescue and Emergency Services.

Additional items for various changes in the project are also included within this change order. They include foundation, site, mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP) and Informational Technology changes.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding in the amount of $286,722.72 is requested in the attached budget amendment, which is necessary to process the change order.
