BRIEF OVERVIEW

Received notice that the Public Service Commission (PSC) will meet on February 3, 2026, to discuss a joint petition from Duke Energy and Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative (WREC) (PSC Docket No. 20250124-EU) to extend until 2030 their Phase One Territorial Settlement Agreement in Hernando, Citrus and Pasco counties.  The current agreement between the two utilities expired on October 10, 2025.  It represented a comprehensive resolution of territorial issues in the three-county area and involved transfer of approximately 5,000 customers.
