BRIEF OVERVIEW
On November 6, 2023, Hernando County Solid Waste submitted a request to the Procurement Department to piggyback Sourcewell Contract No. 040621-MEC, to provide equipment, products, and services with a contract expiration of June 2, 2025, and one (1) additional one (1) year renewal period.
Hernando County Solid Waste currently has no contracts for equipment, products, and services for Marathon 400 Compactors and requests piggyback approval with Tampa Crane & Body Acquisition, LLC, the authorized dealer for all Marathon Equipment, to provide those services for the contract term with renewal, in the estimated spend amount of $147,249.48.
Hernando County Procurement Department has assigned No. 23-P0120N to this Contract for tracking purposes.
The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding is available in Hernando County Solid Waste Account No. 4471-07691-5626401.

The Board has the authority to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve the utilization of Sourcewell Contract No. 040621-MEC (Hernando County File No. 24-P0120N) with Tampa Crane & Body Acquisition, LLC for the contract term with renewal, in the estimated spend amount of $147,249.48.
It is further recommended the Board authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to renew the contract with the same terms and conditions and approve change orders as they become necessary and required up to annual budgeted amounts.
