Modification No. 1 to Subgrant Agreement With Division of Emergency Management to Extend Emergency Management Performance Grant

BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) provides state, local, tribal, and territorial emergency management agencies with the resources required for implementation of the National Preparedness System and works toward the National Preparedness goal of a secure and resilient nation. The EMPG’s allowable costs support efforts to build and sustain core capabilities across the prevention, protection, mitigation, response and recovery mission areas.
Modification #1 will extend the period of performance for the Emergency Management Performance Grant which began on July 1, 2021. Due to unexpected delays in receiving goods ordered under the grant, the expiration will update from June 30, 2022, to an expiration date of September 30, 2022.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
No additional financial impacts.

The Board is authorized to take action on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached Modification #1 to Subgrant Agreement Between The Division of Emergency Management and Hernando County.
