BRIEF OVERVIEW
The purpose of this Agreement is to provide Capital financial assistance from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to Hernando County.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
FDOT has Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5311 Capital funds available to Hernando County, in the amount of $501,690.00. The agreement, upon full execution, will continue through May 30, 2025.
G2X97 - Capital Funds $501,690.00 are 100% reimbursable by FDOT and FDOT Toll Revenue Credits used for the FTA soft match requirement.
The proposed department code financial, pending approval, is attached: Fund: 0011 - General Fund, Department: 34046 - Mass Trnst-FTA S5311, Account: 5606401- Equipment $5,000.00 or more.

The Board has authority to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached Public Transportation Grant Agreement and resolutions for Contract No. G2X97 and authorize the funds to be programed into the FY24 budget.
