BRIEF OVERVIEW

Three (3) vacancies exist on the Fine Arts Council due to the resignation of Maxine Winer, effective April 30, 2025.  In addition, the Fine Arts Council requested the Board remove Mr. Isaiah Haddon as a member due to non-attendance in accordance with BOCC Policy No. 06-01.

 

A news release was issued accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on the Fine Arts Council.  As a result of the news release, one application was received from Deanna Passarelli.  The applicant has been verified as being a resident and registered voter in Hernando County.

 

The Fine Arts Council members have been advised of the application received.

The Board is authorized to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Board appoint Deanna Passarelli to serve as a member on the Hernando County Fine Arts Council, effective until December 31, 2029.  Approve of the Letter and Certificate of Appreciation for Maxine Winer. In addition, it is recommended that the Board remove Mr. Isaiah Haddon as a member from the Council due to non-attendance in accordance with BOCC Policy No. 06-01.
