BRIEF OVERVIEW
On September 23, 2025, the Board of County Commissioners approved Agenda Item No. 16341 authorizing the Chairman’s signature on two application packets through Florida Commerce, Division of Community Development Office of Long-Term Resiliency (OLTR) for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Disaster Recovery Program. Project 1 is for the construction of a building for Waterways and Project 2 is the demolition and replacement of the Coast Guard Auxiliary Building after it sustained water damage during last year’s hurricanes.
After receiving the signed agreement and submitting the application packets to the granting agency, it was determined that two copies of the Project 1 grant application had been transmitted instead of one copy each of Project 1 and Project 2. This agenda item contains the full application for Project 2 and is presented merely to correct the record.
The County complied with the public notice/comment requirements of the CDBG Disaster Recovery Program; therefore, there is no need to ratify or reapprove the application.
