BRIEF OVERVIEW

On June 20, 2023, Hernando County Solid Waste requested piggyback of the Brevard County Contract No. Q-6-23-06 for Portable Litter Fences, this is a one-time purchase Invitation to Quote.

 

Hernando County Solid Waste Department currently has no contract for Portable Litter Fences and requests piggyback approval with Metta Technology, Inc., to provide Portable Litter Fences in the estimated spend amount of $60,000.00.

 

Hernando County Procurement Department has assigned No. 23-P0104 to this Contract for tracking purposes.

 

The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

The amount is budgeted in Hernando County Solid Waste Account No. 4471-07691-5626401 for $60,000.00.

 

LEGAL NOTE

The Board has the authority to take the recommended action on this item pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended the Board approve the utilization of Brevard County Contract No. Q-6-23-06 with Metta Technology, Inc., for the one-time purchase of portable litter fences in the estimated spend amount of $60,000.00.  It is further recommended the Board approve the Chief Procurement Officer approve change orders as they become necessary and required up to annual budgeted amounts.
