BRIEF OVERVIEW
On June 28, 2021, a Professional Services Agreement 21-PS0125 was executed between Hernando County Board of County Commissioners and Environmental Science Associates for the Hernando County Continuing Seagrass Mitigation Monitoring Project. Purchase Order (PO) No. 21000933 was issued in the amount of $19,770.00 for the project.
On May 16, 2022, Change Order One (1) was entered to increase PO 21000933 by $19,220.00 for Environmental Science Associates to physically map the seagrass beds within the dredged section in the channel. Change Order One (1) would change the total amount of the PO from $19,770.00 to $38,990.00. The increase would exceed the County ABR and require Board approval of Change Order One (1) to PO 21000933. This change would also change the completion date from May 30, 2022, to November 30, 2022.
The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding for the contract increase is available in Account No. 0011-01461-5303401-101430 ($19,220.00) General Fund, Aquatic Services, Contracted Services.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve Change Order No. One (1) to Purchase Order No. 21000933 with Environmental Science Associates, increasing the PO amount by $19,220.00 from $19,770.00 to $38,990.00 and change the completion date to November 30, 2022. It is also recommended that the Board authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders as they become necessary and required.
