Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Transit Program for FY 2024 Through FY 2026

BRIEF OVERVIEW
As a direct recipient of Federal Transit Administration funding, the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners is required to adopt and implement a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program consistent with 49 CFR Part 26 and to update the DBE Program’s overall goal every 3 years. The current program and goal expire in 2023. Attached is the Hernando County federal fiscal year (FFY) 2024-2026 program and goal. The overall goal is proposed at 1% for DBEs on FTA-funded contracting opportunities for the County’s transit system (TheBus). The entire amount is projected to be met through race-neutral measures.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached Transit System Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program for FFY 2024-2026.
