Commissioner John Allocco received a request from Michelle Watson-Hecksher, President of Tribute to The Troops Florida Chapter, for a resolution proclaiming March 15, 2025, as Gold Star Family Day in Hernando County. The ceremony to honor the mother of Richard C. Ellis will be held on March 15, 2025, at the family home, 12348 Mountain Dove Road, Weeki Wachee, Florida, 34614, and all citizens will have the opportunity to honor our nation’s fallen military heroes, and express heartfelt gratitude to all Gold Star families.
