BRIEF OVERVIEW
Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) and Hernando County are pursuing a cooperative funding project to investigate the feasibility of converting septic tanks to centralized sewer in Northwest Hernando County. The study will estimate nutrient loading from septic tanks within the Weeki Wachee and Chassahowitzka springsheds and identify projected costs and phasing options for construction of the sewer collection system.

The associated revenue and expenditures will be budgeted as follows:

Grant Match from Utilities -

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chair’s signature on the Cooperative Funding Initiative Project Agreement No. 26CF0004962 for a Septic to Sewer feasibility study for converting septic tanks to centralized sewer in Northwest Hernando County. It is further recommended that the Board approve the associated Budget Resolution.
