BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Procurement Department issued Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 23-T00453/TC on October 18,2023, at the request of the Hernando County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services to obtain bids for the purchase of Plumbing Repairs As-Needed for use by the Facilities Department and other requesting Departments.
The Procurement Department staff placed the legal advertisement in the Hernando Sun on October 20, 2023, and the OpenGov website on October 18, 2023. The bid was sent to two hundred sixty-nine (269) matching vendor/contractors from the website. The bid document was downloaded by eighteen (18) vendor/contractors and Three (3) bid submissions were received.

Bids were reviewed and evaluated by the Procurement Department to determine if they were responsive and responsible. The bids were then reviewed and evaluated by the Hernando County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services staff for award recommendation based on price, conformance with specifications and the Bidder's ability to perform the contract in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications required.
A Notice of Intent to Award the contract to Charlie's Plumbing, Inc., was posted on November 28, 2023, to the OpenGov website and posted to the Hernando County Administration electronic public bulletin board. The award is for a Three (3) year contract with Two (2) additional one year Unilateral Renewals.
The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
