BRIEF OVERVIEW
Board approvals for award of Sole Source Contracts 23-TS00287/SF and 23-TS0089/SF for Centrifuge Equipment Repair and Equipment Lease to Centrisys CNP Corporation, were obtained on August 22, 2023, Doc Id. 12609. At that time, the Chief Procurement Officer was granted the authority to approve change orders for both contracts up to approved budgeted amounts and to approve contract renewals if there are no changes to terms, conditions and/or pricing.

The Hernando County Department of Utilities (HCUD) is now requesting approval for Centrisys CNP Corporation to perform repairs on a second centrifuge and have the leased equipment to remain onsite during this repair. The repair of the second centrifuge has been budgeted in this fiscal year. The repair for the centrifuge is estimated to be $95,500.00 and an additional $30,000.00 per month for the rental equipment. It is estimated that the repairs will take three months to complete.

It is advantageous for the County to perform the necessary repairs to the two centrifuges in consecutive order thus avoiding the extra expense and staff time of coordinating the delivery and pickup of the rental equipment. Once it is placed on site, it will remain onsite until repairs are completed on both centrifuges.

The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
