Appointment of MPO Board Members as Liaison and Alternate Liaison to the Sun Coast Transportation Planning Alliance (SCTPA)

BRIEF OVERVIEW
The MPO Board’s current Liaison and Alternate Liaison to the Sun Coast Transportation Planning Alliance (SCTPA) are Commissioner Narverud and Councilman McBride, respectively. These members will no longer be serving on the MPO Board at the end of their terms.
The SCTPA typically meets twice per year. The next meeting is December 6, 2024, and the Hernando/Citrus MPO is the designated host agency for this meeting (a rotating capacity among the district MPOs). The December meeting is in Pinellas Park at the offices of the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council. The meeting time is 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. The Liaison or Alternate Liaison appointed today will serve as Chair of the December SCTPA meeting.
As a note, the MPO Board conducts its annual election of officers and committee appointments at their first meeting of the new calendar year.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the MPO Board appoint a Liaison and Alternate Liaison to the Sun Coast Transportation Planning Alliance (SCTPA) to represent the Hernando/Citrus MPO. The next meeting is December 6, 2024. The Hernando/Citrus MPO will be the host agency at the meeting and depending upon schedule availability, the Liaison or Alternate Liaison will be sitting as the Chair of the SCTPA meeting.
