BRIEF OVERVIEW
On August 23, 2022, the BOCC approved award of Contract No. 21-RG0045/PH to Coastal Engineering Associates, Inc., for the Engineering Services for Septic Upgrade Incentive Program for an estimated amount of $298,540.00 and authorized the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to approve change orders up to annual budgeted amounts.
Purchase Order No. 22001069 was originally issued for $298,540.00. Change Order No. 2, in the amount of $115,701.00, would increase the purchase order to $521,501.00.
Change Order No. 1 was requested to add funds to Line 1 of the purchase order to be used towards contractual services per the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) agreement in the amount of $107,260.00. The Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) approved this on February 8, 2023. The purchase order increased from $298,540.00 to $405,800.00.
The Hernando County Utilities Department has requested Change order No. 2 in the amount of $115,701.00 to allow for additional project management, application management and processing, and FDEP grant management assistance.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $115,701.00 to Coastal Engineering Associates, Inc., for Purchase Order No. 22001069, bringing the total purchase order amount to $521.501.00.
