BRIEF OVERVIEW

Pursuant to Section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes, the Board of County Commissioners of Hernando County, Florida, will hold an attorney/client in-person session to discuss a proposed settlement related to litigation pertaining to Hernando County v. Hernando County Fair Association, Inc., Hernando County Circuit Court Case No. H-27-CC-2021-1454, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 8:30 a.m., in Room 261 of the Hernando County Government Center, 20 North Main Street, Brooksville, Florida.  The attending parties shall be all members of the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners: Jerry Campbell, Ryan Amsler, Steve Champion, John Allocco and John Mitten; County Administrator Jeff Rogers and Deputy County Administrator Toni Brady; Community Services Director Christopher Linsbeck; County Attorney Jon Jouben and Assistant County Attorney Melissa Tartaglia, Attorneys for Hernando County.  The attorney/client session is closed to the public.  The entire session shall be recorded by a certified court reporter, and the transcript shall be filed with the Clerk for the Board, Docket No. 26-02-BCC.  Said transcript shall remain sealed until the case has concluded. 

 

Upon returning to public session, the Board may consider any action that may be necessitated as a result of the attorney/client session.
