BRIEF OVERVIEW
Hernando County Traffic Operations currently has a Miovision vehicle detection camera operating at the County Line Road and Waterfall Drive intersection; therefore, Traffic Engineering is familiar with the technology. Transportation Control Systems, Inc. (TCS), offers Miovision vehicle detection cameras and the accompanying software suite which includes, Miovision One, Miovision SmartView, and Miovision SmartView 360.
The Miovision system provides wireless communication, a 360-degree vehicle detection camera, and critical alerts. Traffic Engineering plans to utilize Miovision cameras at intersections without fiber communication.
TCS is the sole authorized distributor within the State of Florida of the above listed products from Miovision Technologies Incorporated.
The Procurement Department posted a Notice of Intended Sole Source to Econolite Control Products, Inc., on July 3, 2025, with the last date for challenges being July 25, 2025. As of July 25, 2025, the Procurement Department had received no challenges. The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to the Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
