BRIEF OVERVIEW

Hernando County Fire Rescue (HCFR) has requested an increase to Non-Contract Purchase Order No. 23000389 for cleaning, repair, and inspection of bunker gear that is necessary to remain National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) No. 1851-14 compliant and to ensure the proper protection of Hernando County Firefighters.

 

The purchase order was originally issued for $33,148.00.  Change order No. 1 would increase the purchase order to $43,148.00 bringing the total value of the purchase order above the required bidding threshold, which requires Board approval.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Account No. 1661-02261-5305207, Safety Gear and Supplies was budgeted for this expense.  There is sufficient budget in this account for the additional $10,000.00.

 

LEGAL NOTE

The Board has the authority to act on this item pursuant to Part II, Chapter 2, Article V of the Hernando County Code of Ordinances.

It is recommended the Board approve Change Order No. 1, in the amount of $10,000.00 to Non-Contract Purchase Order No. 23000389 bringing the total purchase order amount to $43,148.00.
