body
BRIEF OVERVIEW
On June 23, 2020, the Board approved Contract No. 20-T00085/CH with Vortex Services, LLC for Slip Lining for Gravity Sewer Lines for a three (3) year term with a renewal option of two (2) twelve (12) month terms for Utilities as part of an ongoing maintenance program for sanitary sewer pipes.

On October 24, 2023, Procurement executed Amendment No. 1 for a rate increase to section VI Part II of the contract which represented less than 1% of the total base bid price.

This contract was approved by the Board for a value of $300,000.00 for Utilities as part of an ongoing maintenance program for sanitary sewer pipes. The current contract's scope of service describes the repairs and rehab of sanitary sewer pipes. The proposed amendment would add storm sewer pipes to the scope of services and make the contract useable for the Department of Public Works for the maintenance and repair of storm sewer lines.

The executed contract allows for the addition of items not currently on the bid form.

Proposed Amendment No. 2 is asking for:

* Addition of storm sewer lines to the scope of service.
* Modification of section 78.1 relating to high velocity jet cleaning.
* Addition of pricing for pipe sizes related to storm sewer lines.

Except for items noted in the requested amendment, all other terms and conditions shall remain the same.

The Department of Public Works is asking for the inclusion of this proposed amendment to the contract and anticipates FY 2024 annual spend of $225,000 and FY 2025 annual spend of $750,000. Please note that the annual spend amount for Utilities would remain unchanged. If approved, the total value of this contract would not exceed:

Utilities $ 300,000
DPW $ 750,000
$1,050,000

FINANCIAL IMPACT
FY 2024 funding is available in the amount of $225,000....
