BRIEF OVERVIEW
Originally constructed in the 1940’s the decommissioned/abandoned runway has deteriorated and requires rehabilitation to allow for future aviation expansion. The former runway will be improved and brought up to current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) design standards. The project will consist of converting approximately 2,100 feet of the runway to an active taxiway and prepare the southwest side of the airfield for future aviation development as depicted on the approved Airport Layout Plan.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The Airport’s revenue will increase by $2,000,000 in Account No. 4311-34299-3896001 - St Grt-FDOT 55.004 CAP. The Airport’s expenses will increase by $2,000,000 in Account No. 4311-34299-5666537 - CIP-AP Dsgn/Cnstr Txwys.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached State Financial Assistance Agreement (FPN 45070319401), grant resolution and associated budget resolution for runway repair and rehabilitation.
