BRIEF OVERVIEW

On May 11, 2023, the Fleet Department requested the Term Sole Source for Outside repairs with Cummins Power South, LLC.  A sole source request for Outside Repairs is being requested to process repairs on an as needed basis for service of Cummins and Onan equipment and products.

 

On December 5, 2023, a Sole/Single Source Notice of Intent to award for Term Sole Source Contract No. 23-TSS00465/TPR to Cummins Power South, LLC was posted per Procurement Policies and Procedures.  The Procurement Department has received no communications regarding the Notice of Intent to Sole Source. The last day for receipt of information was December 26, 2023.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Funding in the amount of $100,000.00 is available in Fleet Vehicle Maintenance  Account No. 5071-08021-5303476 Contr SRV-O/S PRP-Fleet.

recommendation

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on attached Term Sole Source Contract No. 23-TSS00465/TPR to Cummins Power South, LLC with an estimated annual spend of $100,000 and total contract value $300,000.00 for outside repairs for an initial three-year (36) month term contract with two (2) twelve (12) month unilateral renewal options available at the discretion of the County.

 

It is further recommended that the Board approve the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders for 23-TSS00465/TPR as they become necessary and allowable up to approved budgeted amounts and to approve renewal of the contract when there is no change to terms, conditions and/or pricing.
