Appointment/Reappointment of Members to the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC)

BRIEF OVERVIEW
The purpose of the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) is to assist the Hernando/Citrus Metropolitan Planning Organization Board (MPO Board) in a review and advisory capacity relating to transportation planning and programming for Citrus and Hernando counties. The CAC is comprised of eleven (11) member positions appointed by MPO Board. CAC members serve a two-year term.
Currently, six (6) of the eleven (11) positions are filled. The five (5) vacant positions and their member jurisdictions are:
1) Low-Income and/or Minority Representative-Citrus County
2) Citrus County-Unincorporated
3) City of Crystal River (in Citrus County)
4) Public Transit User-Citrus County
5) Public Transit User-Hernando County
Ana Arias-Caceres has applied (copy of application attached) to fill the vacant Low Income and/or Minority-Citrus County position.
Additionally, the following two positions had members whose terms expired on April 25, 2025.
1) Low-Income and/or Minority Representative-Hernando County
2) Hernando County-Unincorporated
In response to public notice to fill the vacant positions, the following people (in alphabetical order) responded:
Stephen Hohman has applied for reappointment (copy of application attached) to the CAC representing Hernando County-Unincorporated.
Latoya Lovett has applied (copy of application attached) for a Hernando County position.
Jeancasia Nolen has applied (copy of application attached) for a Hernando County position.
Shannon Sokolowski, Ph.D., has applied for reappointment (copy of application attached) to the CAC representing the Low Income and/or Minority Representative for Hernando County.
