BRIEF OVERVIEW
Brooksville Main Street has signed national country-music recording artist Colt Ford for the Brooksville Blueberry Festival. A nationally known musician will certainly increase the attendance at the festival and the number of hotel rooms booked for the weekend which requires a larger marketing budget for the festival. The Tourist Development Council (TDC) has recommended increasing Brooksville Main Street’s marketing grant award to $10,000.00.

The $7,000.00 in additional funding is available in Account No. 1261-02811-5304804; Promotional Activities - Sponsorships.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve the requested increase for Brooksville Main Street TDC grant award from $3,000 to $10,000.
