Resolution Regarding Reimbursement of Certain Costs Relating to Ridge Manor Water Reclamation Facility Expansion and Emergency Operations Structure

BRIEF OVERVIEW

Expenses associated with the County’s Ridge Manor Water Reclamation Facility Expansion and Emergency Operations Structure have been or will be paid from the water and sewer utility enterprise fund. This reimbursement resolution allows the County to reimburse the Fund for expenses incurred before issuance of said debt and needs to be in place before requesting use of that debt. The project for this resolution is being awarded under Contract No. 26-C01237/JG.  The US Treasury established this method to allow governments to reimburse themselves for costs associated with a replacement before issuance of tax-exempt debt. The amount of tax-exempt debt is not expected to exceed $100,000,000.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached resolution for the reimbursement of certain costs related to the Ridge Manor Water Reclamation Facility Expansion and Emergency Operations Structure.
