BRIEF OVERVIEW
In accordance with Board of County Commissioner’s Policy No. 16-1, relative to Municipal Service Benefit Units (MSBU), the property listed below was inadvertently overcharged for the Southwest Hernando County Solid Waste Garbage Collection assessment.
Staff is requesting reimbursement of the amount assessed during 2022 with the refund including the discount received for early payment of taxes as follows:

FINANCIAL IMPACT

The Board has the authority to take the recommended action pursuant to Chapters 125 and 129, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve a reimbursement for the property located on Popiel Road for the MSBU overpayment and authorize the Hernando County Solid Waste Department to process the reimbursement to the property owner, Joyce M. Schneider.
