BRIEF OVERVIEW

Notice has been given that the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund has received Application No. 27-0455082-001-E1 from the Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative (WREC) requesting sovereignty submerged land public easement appurtenant to the applicant’s riparian ownership on the Withlacoochee River, a Class III Outstanding Florida Waterbody, Section 14, Township 23 South, Range 21 East, latitude 28.48005359/longitude - 82.17755169, Hernando County for the purpose of installing approximately 1,296-linear feet of 4-inch high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe via horizontal directional drill.  The proposed pipe will equal approximately 0.011 acres of easement area.

 

Any questions of comments regarding the proposed project, should be filed in writing with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Southwest District located at 13051 N. Telecom Parkway, Suite 101, Temple Terrace, Florida 33637 before 5:00 p.m., within 21 calendar days form the date of March 13, 2025.
