BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Grant Agreement (No. WG024) between the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and Hernando County was approved by the Board October 11, 2022, (LS Item No. 10967). The funding for the Installation of the Hut Pumping Station and Force Main project was approved for 50% ($1,500,000) State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) and 50% Utilities Department enterprise funded.
Due to the deadlines imposed by SLFRF, Hernando County requested the grant funding be replaced with alternative state funding which does not have the same deadlines. FDEP has agreed to the change and submitted DEP Agreement No. WG024 Change Order No. 1 for approval.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact resulting from this item. Upon the approval of this change order, a budget amendment will be processed administratively realigning the State funds in the amount of $1,500,000.00 from revenue account:

It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached FDEP Grant Agreement No. WG024 Change Order No. 1.
