Various Interim Disposal Special Assessment Liens
body
BRIEF OVERVIEW
The attached lien notices are for improved property that has not paid the interim disposal assessments due by ordinance after three consecutive monthly invoices were mailed and a certified letter sent to the current homeowner.
Hernando County Code provides that each unpaid assessment has a lien placed on the benefited property. Recording the notice of liens will assist in collection of assessments, either now or at such a time as the property is sold. Interim disposal special assessment liens bear interest at a rate of ten percent (10%) per annum from date of certification until paid in full.
