BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is considered a tenant in good standing; leasing T-Hangars since 2018. FDLE is requesting a new lease agreement for T-Hangar 48 with an annual payment of $10,029.15. The term of the agreement is for one year with an annual base rent amount of $9,600.00 - consistent with other hangars in the same building. The remaining $429.15 is a reimbursement of the annual fire assessment fees paid by the Airport to Hernando County Fire Rescue.
In the Lease document used by the State, the annual fire assessment reimbursement charged to comparable T-Hangar tenants ($35.71) was converted into a per-square-foot (psf) rate ($0.22) and added to the actual base rent rate of $4.91 for a total of $5.13 psf.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve the State of Florida Standard Lease Agreement for the use of T-Hangar 48 and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the related document.
