Ratification of Purchase Order Utilizing Contract With The Sutphen Corporation for Purchase of Fire Engine

BRIEF OVERVIEW
Hernando County was able to obtain a demo fire truck already in production from Sutphen Corporation through Sourcewell Contract 022818-SUT. Due to supply demand issues, the delivery of emergency vehicles takes approximately 2-3 years.
The Procurement Department issued Purchase Order No. 23000601 in the amount of $876,117.91 on February 24, 2023, to Sutphen Corporation to provide a G2 fire engine.
The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to the Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding in the amount of $876,117.91 is available in Account No. 5081-08031-560605, Vehicles and Trailers over $5,000.00.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board ratify Purchase Order No. 23000601 in the amount of $876,117.91 to Sutphen Corporation for the purchase of the G2 fire engine and authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders if they become necessary and required.
