Acceptance of State Department of Commerce Federally-Funded Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Subgrant Agreement for FY 2020-21 and FY 2021-22 and Associated Budget Resolution

BRIEF OVERVIEW
On May 24, 2022, the Board authorized Health and Human Services to submit a Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (FDEO) which is now the State of Florida Department of Commerce for Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Housing Rehabilitation Category application on behalf of the Board.
The State of Florida Department of Commerce notified the County that its application has been awarded for the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $750,000. Staff is requesting the two copies of the attached subgrant agreement FY 2021 and FY2022 Funding Cycle be approved by the Board.
On July 12, 2022, The Board authorized use of leverage funds in Resolution 2022-134 in the amount of $50,000 from the State Housing Partnership Program (SHIP) to be spent on CDBG rehabilitation activities subject to grant award. We have also attached a budget resolution recognizing those funds.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds in the amount the amount $750,000 will be deposited from the State award as reimbursement into Account No. 0011-35086-3315001 and $50,000 in State Housing Initiatives Partnership Program (SHIP) funds into Account No. 0011-35086-3315001 for a total of $800,000. Disbursement from expense Account No.'s 0011-35086-5303415, 5303450, 5303451, 5303454, 5304001, 5304901, 5304924, 5304934 for a total of $800,000.
