Approval of Member and Alternate Member Representing Hernando County on the MPO Board

BRIEF OVERVIEW
On June 23, 2026, the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) revised the County’s Committee Assignment list by appointing Commissioner Ryan Amsler to represent Hernando County as a regular member vs an alternate member on the Hernando-Citrus MPO Board. Commissioner Amsler is replacing Commissioner Brian Hawkins who recently resigned. The Hernando BOCC also appointed Commissioner John Allocco as the representative of the Metropolitan Planning Organization Advisory Council (MPOAC).
Pursuant to the MPO Board’s by-laws, the MPO Board shall acknowledge the appointment of each member and alternate member by motion and approval.

Pursuant to Chapter 339.175, F.S., the Hernando-Citrus MPO Board has the authority to take the recommended action.

It is recommended the Hernando-Citrus Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Board acknowledge and approve the appointment of Commissioner Ryan Amsler as a regular member on the MPO Board for Hernando County and Commissioner John Allocco as the representative for the MPOAC.
