Summary of Applicant's Request:
The petitioner is requesting a rezoning from AG (Agricultural) to PDP(HC) Planned Development Project (Highway Commercial) with specific C-4 uses to allow for the development of a concrete batch plant. The proposed facility will operate Monday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and it is expected to employ approximately 30 to 50 people. All improvements, including operational areas and parking, are proposed within the interior of the northwest portion of the subject property, on approximately five (5) acres.

Public Hearing History:
On May 11, 2026, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 3-0 to postpone the applicant's request to rezone from AG (Agricultural) to PDP(HC)/Planned Development Project (Highway Commercial) with specific C-4 uses to a date uncertain.

On June 8, 2026, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 5-0 to approve the applicant's request to rezone from AG (Agricultural) to PDP(HC)/Planned Development Project (Highway Commercial) with specific C-4 uses with modified performance conditions.
On August 4, 2026, the Board of County Commissioners voted 3-0 to postpone the applicant's request to rezone from AG (Agricultural) to PDP(HC)/ Planned Development Project (Highway Commercial) with specific C-4 uses to a date certain of September 1, 2026, with all readvertising costs paid by the applicant.
