BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has awarded the FY 2021 State Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant to Hernando County in the amount of $14,023.00.
On August 23, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners authorized the Hernando County Court Administration to apply for this grant. These funds will be used for the Adult Drug Court Program.
The attached award agreement must be completed and returned to the Department. This agreement constitutes official acceptance of the award and must be received by the Department prior to the reimbursement of any project expenditures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
An increase in revenue in Account No. 0011-38204-3318204 in the amount of $14,023.00. An increase in expenditures in Account No. 0011-38204-5303101 in the amount of $14,023.00. There are no matching funds required.

The Board has the authority to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

It is recommended that the Board approve the grant award and authorize and approve the Chairman’s signature on the attached Award Agreement and associated budget resolution.
