BRIEF OVERVIEW

The Grant Agreement (No. WG026) between the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and Hernando County was approved by the Board October 11, 2022, (LS Item No. 10969). The funding of the Northcliffe Boulevard Force Main Project was approved for 50% ($1,400,000.00) State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) and 50% ($1,400,000.00) Utilities Department enterprise fund.

 

Due to the deadlines imposed by SLFRF, Hernando County requested the grant funding be replaced with alternative state funding, which does not have the same deadlines, as well as an extension to the task deadlines.  FDEP has agreed to the changes and submitted FDEP Agreement No. WG026, Change Order No. 1 for approval.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

There is no financial impact resulting from the item.  Upon the approval of this change order, a budget amendment will be processed administratively realigning the State funds in the amount of $1,355,359.47 between the following Revenue accounts.

It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached FDEP Grant Agreement No. WG026 Change Order No. 1
