BRIEF OVERVIEW
On December 18, 2023, the Fleet Department requested the Term Sole Source for Outside repairs for John Deer Commercial Turf Equipment. Therefore, a sole source request for Outside Repairs for John Deere Commercial Turf Equipment is being requested to process repairs on an as needed basis.
On January 12, 2024, a Sole/Single Source Notice of Intent to award for Term Sole Source Contract No. 23-TSS00464/TPR to EFE, Inc., d/b/a Everglades Equipment Group was posted per Procurement Policies and Procedures. The Procurement Department has received no communications regarding the Notice of Intent to Sole Source. The last day for receipt of information was January 27, 2024.
In the State of Florida, the vendor Everglades Equipment Group is the only factory authorized vendor in our geographical area for the servicing of John Deere agricultural and turf equipment and this fact is verified by a formal letter from John Deere.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding in the amount of $100,000 is available in Fleet Vehicle Maintenance, Account No. 5071-08021-5303476.

In accordance with Part II, Chapter 2, Article V of the Hernando County Code of Ordinances as well as Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson's signature on the attached Term Sole Source Contract No. 23-TSS00464/TPR to EFE, Inc., d/b/a Everglades Equipment Group for outside repairs of John Deere commercial turf equipment, with an estimated annual spend of $100,00.00, for an initial thirty-six (36) month term contract with two (2) twelve (12) month unilateral renewal options available at the discretion of the County.
